Ever since the first time I saw The Old Painted Cottage's Blog the first time and the before and after pics of her home, I have wanted an old black typewriter like this one.....
I posted a FB status about looking for an antique typewriter and a friend of mine remembered seeing one on craigslist back on Oct 20th.
I text the person (with little hope it hadn't sold already) and sure enough it was still available!
And only $25!!!!! I was thrilled to say the least....
Gary and I went to pick it up on Saturday. I am not sure where its home will be, but for right now I have it on the side table in the living room.
I even had the perfect typed letter from a law firm dated 1938 to roll up in it!
Thanks John for the tip and to that law school students grandmother who passed it down....can't imagine why he didn't want to keep it, but hey.....who am I to judge??

Good for you, Stacey! I love it! I have an old one that I like to put the old poem "the Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe around Halloween. Then around Christmas I type a list to Santa and add some pine greenery and lights. Old typewriters are awesome.

I have one in my garage...Thomas & Nathan made fun of it when we moved...so I never put it out, lol! (Don't really have a home for it, anyway!)
